Hot Crab Dip

Tuesday, September 8, 2009

To participate or to tempt your tummy with some other mouthwatering recipes go check out Blessed with Grace.

I made this on Saturday for a party we went to.  Had my head been in the right place I would have taken a photo, but since it wasn’t you will just have to imagine all it’s glorious, yummyness.

  • 12 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 tbsp mayo
  • 2 tsp old bay
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp prepared mustard
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire
  • garlic powder to taste
  • 1 lb. crab meat (I prefer to use claw or lump.)

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  • In large mixing bowl combine softened cream cheese, sour cream, mayo, old bay, lemon juice, mustard, worcestershire, and garlic powder.  Mix well.  Fold in 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese and crab meat.
  • Place mixture in 11 x 7 baking pan, you can use a smaller pan if you want.
  • Top with remaining 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese.
  • Place in oven for 20 minutes.
  • Serve with french bread, pita chips, veggies, crackers…

Don’t forget to check out my giveaway, it’s some super-cuteness for your kitchen.
