Wordless Wednesday-Long Exposure

Tuesday, June 9, 2009

This photo was taken at about 2 a.m last week during a thunderstorm at our home.  If you own a DSLR you can set your camera up to take what is known as a long exposure and it will make a night time photo look almost as if it were taken during the day.  It works best if you have a tripod or something to sit the camera on because the photo is taken over the course of several seconds, I believe I had this on 30 seconds and you would not be able to hold your camera still enough for that period of time.  Below is a picture from when I was in Denver when it was dark and late out.  It’s of nothing spectacular because we had the camera sitting on top of the car just to give it a try.
